Goddard Technologies, Inc is hiring a Senior Employee Experience Specialist who will own employee engagement and inclusion for the entire life cycle of an employee (from orientation through offboarding). This role will promote positive employee relations through a variety of initiatives such as surveys, employee one-on one connections and recognition programs.

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Identify trends and areas of employee concern and partner with management to provide guidance and actionable feedback in enhancing the employee experience.
  • Remain aware of any internal challenges and issues between clients and staff and convey to management or appropriate parties as necessary.
  • Assist in the creation of employees’ career goals that align with business objectives. In conjunction with employees’ manager, create a path to achieving those goals.
  • Advocate for the employees, building a culture where everyone feels like they belong.
  • When conflict arises, work with employees towards a solution to the problem or dispute in a way that is productive.
  • Learn, refine, and participate in performance management processes (annual reviews).
  • Onboard new hires and acclimate them to the corporate culture and work environment.
  • Offboard employees through exit interviews, capturing employee experience data and analyzing the results to find gaps and strengthen employee retention.
  • Provide insight, advice, and coaching to managers and other team members on HR-related topics.

Culture Building:

  • Evaluate the current health of the organizational culture through surveys and other various means to determine what steps are needed to ensure its continued health.
  • Build on diversity initiatives, creating spaces and opportunities for people from all different walks of life to be listened to and appreciated in their workplaces.
  • Head up special employee engagement projects such employee appreciation, social events, team building and rewards programs.
  • Prepare and review Performance Indicators to measure effectiveness and convey to management.
  • Establish regular cadence for internal communication between management and staff.

Training:

  • Work with managers to determine employee skills gaps and support what training is required to close the gaps.
  • Identify and organize internal, external, or virtual opportunities for training and employee development (including but not limited to soft skills, QMS, position-specific learning, etc.).
  • Facilitate workforce training grants/funding through local, state and federal agencies.
  • Review, track and report on employee training.
  • Maintain and update company Learning Center SharePoint site.

Benefits:

  • Assist in the annual review and renewal of Goddard’s comprehensive benefit’s package.
  • Keep employees informed of benefit updates and changes. Maintain open communication for questions and concerns.
  • Be a knowledge base for Goddard’s current benefits, company policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook, and support questions as they arise.


Administrative Duties & Reporting:

  • Maintain active spreadsheets on company initiatives for reporting purposes.
  • Assist in the coordination of company events such as the annual holiday party or summer outings.
  • Assist with the annual update of the Employee Handbook with our HR tool TriNet.
  • Update and present HR efforts in biweekly, quarterly, and annual meetings, as applicable.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in people operations, diversity, equity, and inclusion, human resources, or a related field. 
  • Proficient MS Office skills to include Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strong public speaking and facilitation skills are required.
  • Ability to adeptly prioritize and manage multiple projects, initiatives, and stakeholders.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive materials with discretion.
  • Use evidence-based HR practices to make decisions based on data and evidence and applying this approach in your work.
  • Adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Understand Paid Family Medical Leave and other MA and CA state-run leave programs and how they affect employees. Initiate the application process as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel to California office location as necessary.
