Here's What We Need!
A Product Manager able to drive profitable growth by leading the evaluation and implementation of key business and pricing strategies for Buckle’s Hybrid auto product. In this role, you will lead and collaborate with other product team members and provide strategic direction directly to the Head of Product. In addition, you will be responsible for managing pricing and marketing of the product within the assigned territory. You will provide other company stakeholders, including executive management, with detailed plans on how to implement Buckle’s vision of helping gig economy worker achieve economic freedom.
Here’s What We Are Looking For!
- Responsible for leading the development and execution of short- and long-term product strategies within the Auto Line of Business which drives profitable growth
- Create and enhance products that fill a niche in the market and remain competitive
- Develop rate and rule pricing proposals for submission to departments of insurance and negotiate for approval to ensure rate adequacy and marketability
- Directs development of product pricing and contract changes
- Responsible for profits and losses in assigned States
- Responsible for implementing rate levels necessary to maintain consistent underwriting profit/growth
- Works closely with the Actuary Team to facilitate the completion of rate level indications, off balance analysis and submission of rate/form filings
- Responsible for supporting and managing the full auto product development to include product design and features, systems development and coordination, implementation, quality assurance, and maintenance
- Analyze product sales data to ensure that products are viable and competitive
- Collaborate with organizational stakeholders in Claims, Member Services, Information Technology, Legal, Strategic Growth and Marketing to ensure full transparency and proactive communication
- Takes leadership role in special projects as assigned by Senior Product Manager
- Responsible for providing requirements to IT for system changes
- For state responsibilities, demonstrate keen awareness of competitor actions, demographics and regulatory/legislative process, and maintain market-specific competitive intelligence
- Participates in the training of product analysts

- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis or data driven product management
- Experience with advanced insurance pricing concepts, strategy and insurance terms/structure

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is not currently responsible for the direct supervision of personnel; however, this may change as the company’s needs change.

Buckle has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we are competitive with companies of a similar size, industry and revenue. You will be offered a salary based on your experience, market position and/or internal equity.
Work Location
This is a remote position. A hybrid working arrangement may be applicable. Relocation is not required nor available for this position.
