Here's What We Need!


Buckle is looking to hire a Procurement Director to join the Strategy and Planning team. This person will report directly to the Head of Strategy and Planning.



Here’s What We Are Looking For!


Primary duties:

  • Craft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of different contracts in support of Buckle business

  • Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning contracts

  • Maintain records for correspondence and performance documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress

  • Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters;

  • Work with the Finance team to ensure financial obligations are met; monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension or renewal according to what’s best for Buckle; 

  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself; 

  • Periodically review procurement policy and process for updates and advise of recommendations


Your Skills, Training and Work Experience Matter!

 

The preferred candidate will have demonstrated success in:

  • Working knowledge of company policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of general contract law and regulations

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Exhibits strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • Possesses excellent persuasion, negotiation, and judgment skills

  • Displays exceptional management skills

  • Working knowledge of financial analytics and profit and loss implications

  • Possesses strong leadership skills

  • Previous support of senior leadership

  • Must be able to multitask and work independently in a demanding, fast paced and constantly changing environment. 

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5-7 years’ experience in contracting, negotiations, business development or quality management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not currently responsible for the direct supervision of personnel; however, this may change as the company’s needs change.

 

Work Location

This is a remote position.  A hybrid working arrangement may be applicable.  Relocation is not required nor available for this position.
