Uhnder has developed the world’s first automotive digital Radar on Chip (RoC). Sensors based on Uhnder’s Digitally Coded Modulation (DCM) technology achieve new and unprecedented levels of performance for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving solutions. Founded in 2015, its main engineering operations center is in Austin, Texas, USA with design facilities in India and China. Job Summary: This position provides leadership on the development, implementation and maintenance of Uhnder’s Quality Management System and proactively monitors the various elements of the quality system to ensure compliance with applicable requirements. Job responsibilities include: - Responsible for managing the Quality Management System (QMS), implement relevant procedures and ensure alignment. - Manage and administer processes such as Change Control, Document Control, Customer Spec Review/Feedback and corrective and preventative actions (CAPA). - Work with engineering, supply and manufacturing teams to manage and drive implementation of approved changes to products and processes to improve quality. - Work with suppliers on evaluating, approving and implementing process and product changes. - Work with internal teams on qualifying new suppliers and driving high quality results and continuous for existing suppliers. - Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies. - Provide support to internal functions in the application, maintenance and improvement of quality systems, procedures and department specific processes. - Identify opportunities for improvement with internal functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives via best practices. - Prepare performance reports and metrics for the QMS and ensure KPI (key performance indicators) progress against quality objectives. - Monitor quality KPIs to direct improvement initiatives. - Manage the audit nonconformity data base and implement and maintain corrective action(s). - Document processes and audits in compliance with ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO26262 standards. - Audit Uhnder’s suppliers against IATF16949 requirements (or other applicable standards). - Track supplier and manufacturing quality. Job Requirements: - Knowledge of ISO International Standards, such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO26262, IATF16949, etc. and JEDEC Standards such as JESD47. - 7+ years of experience working in semiconductor and sensor manufacturing or related field, 5+ of them working on QMS. - Knowledge of systems and software is a plus. - Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Quality or a closely related field. - Experience writing quality specs, SOPs and SOWs. - Experience using quality and manufacturing systems to drive product and process improvements and problem solving. - Working knowledge of quality problem solving tools including, but not limited to, 8D methodology, 5 Whys, Cause and Effect Diagrams, and statistical analysis methodologies preferred. - Experience working with Automotive customers. - Knowledge of RoHS, REACH and Conflict Mineral based on Frank-Dodd Act is a plus.
