Summary/Objective  


Uhnder has developed the world’s first automotive digital radar on chip (RoC).  Sensors based on Uhnder’s digitally coded modulation technology achieve new and unprecedented levels of performance for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving solutions.  Founded in 2015, its main engineering operations center is in Austin, Texas, USA with design facilities in India and China. 
 


As a Principal Embedded Software Engineer you will join a team of mixed-signal and RFIC experts to develop the next generation of electronics surrounding us and impacting us in our everyday lives.  This is a full-time position.  


Essential Functions  


  • Architect and develop BSPs for Uhnder’s Radar Software Development Kits
  • Develop HAL and middleware to support various SoCs
  • Develop and support RTOS, bootloader for ARM powered SoCs
  • Support board bring-up of new SoC platforms
  • Work with hardware, systems, and product engineering teams to develop and deliver test suites for validation, quality assurance, and manufacturing of system


 


Required Education and Experience: 


  • MS/BS degree in EE/CS with 8-12 years of relevant industry experience in embedded software development
  • Expertise in ARM architecture know-how and assembly language programming
  • Expertise in embedded C/C++ programming. Python is an advantage
  • Knowledge of safety standards, e.g. MISRA
  • Hands-on experience in device driver and kernel level programming in RTOS / Linux
  • Expertise in networking, Ethernet, IP Stack. Automotive networking is an advantage
  • Hands on experience in new hardware bring-up
  • Understanding of automotive sensors and related processing, robotics and ROS: advantage
  • Linux application development and debugging
