Summary/Objective 


Uhnder has developed the world’s first automotive digital Radar on Chip (RoC).  Sensors based on Uhnder’s Digitally Coded Modulation (DCM) technology achieve new and unprecedented levels of performance for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving solutions.  Founded in 2015, its main engineering operations center is in Austin, Texas, USA with design facilities in India and China.  


ASensor Software Engineering Lead, you will join a team of industry experts spanning mixed-signal, RF, digital, systems and software experts to develop the next generation of electronics surrounding us and impacting us in our everyday lives. 


Essential Functions 


  • Work with product management, bizdev and engineering teams to define system software requirements, project execution plans and delivery schedules 

  • Develop and deliver full stack production software for high-performance sensor systems 

  • Develop and productize module-specific software features such as OS, functional safety, security, and custom applications  

  • Plan and coordinate execution of agile sprints across multiple sites and teams 

  • Define and drive module-specific core system and software requirements into internal roadmap planning 
  • Work with R&D engineers to integrate and evaluate software features versus real-world use cases 

  • Work with hardware, systems, and product engineering teams to develop and deliver test suites for validation, quality assurance, and manufacturing of systems in high volume 

  • Directly interface with customer engineering teams for system integration, field testing, and issue resolution 


 Required Education and Experience: 


  • BS degree in EE/CS with 8+ years of relevant experience  

  • Experience in delivering software for performance-critical embedded systems into high volume production 

  • Expertise in integration, optimization and debug of complex hardware and software

  • Experience in multimedia, communication or similar high-complexity and performance-critical domain 

  • Experience in technical leadership of multi-site teams to deliver results using agile methodologies 

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and test houses for high volume and performance-critical production  

  • Experience in managing technical interface and support with customers, partners, and contractors 

  • Experience in Agile development delivering results in a dynamic collaborative environment
