SupportPay is a seed-stage startup that's changing the world by simplifying divorce. We're ready to level up our user experience and turbocharge growth with conversion rate optimization (CRO). We are looking for an experienced freelance CRO consultant to improve our optimization practice, understand user behavior and propose experiments for improvements.


Our consultant must be obsessed with conversion and maximizing user experience. They will delight in surfacing opportunities, providing strategies, and executing tactics to optimize our B2C & B2B conversion rates and deliver exceptional user experiences that achieve and retain growth on our web and mobile platforms.


Our consultant will love working with growth hacking tools, such as Google Optimize for experiments, Google Analytics/analytics in general, and observation tools like Hotjar, CrazyEgg, LogRocket etc. We are looking for someone with a systematic approach, the confidence to follow their intuition, and the ability to demonstrate ROI on optimization efforts.


This is a freelance opportunity, approximated at 20 hours per week to start, with the optional opportunity to convert to a full-time position unlimited upward mobility in a fast-growing startup. Like to travel? This opportunity allows for totally remote work from any time zone. In addition to highly competitive base contract rates, this role has extraordinary bonus pay potential.


The Role:

  • Analyze user behavior using tools such as Hotjar and Google Analytics to surface issues and opportunities for improvements
  • Develop and execute strategies and testing plans to increase on-site engagement and conversion
  • Develop hypotheses and propose A/B or multivariate tests according to the plan
  • Create and execute optimization experiments and personalized user experiences within platforms such as Google Optimize
  • Partner with stakeholders and developers to recommend changes and campaigns based on test results
  • Help build SupportPay’s optimization practice through recommendation, iteration, training, and collaboration
  • Provide reports of results and proposals, and present findings
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor activity


Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a CRO, UX, or website testing role
  • Demonstrated experience with mid-funnel digital marketing
  • Experience with Google Optimize, Optimizely, Adobe Target, or another testing platform
  • Mastery of Google Analytics and data concepts
  • Knowledge of paid marketing channels including paid social, paid search, display
  • Proficient using Excel/Google Sheets and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc) with an ability to clearly articulate learnings
  • Experience with UX design, wireframing, and usability principles
  • Experience with data visualization
  • Experience in a mobile-first approach
  • Ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical team members/stakeholders in a clear, concise, and friendly manner
  • Understanding and responding to the psychology of a website’s visitors


Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Graphic design and/or website creative talents
  • Experience with chatbot optimization
  • Experience with website content management systems
  • Experience conducting CRO audits across platforms, devices, and channels
