Role and Responsibilities

Project Finance Intern

What we can offer:

The Project Finance internship program is designed to provide college students practical exposure to renewable energy finance. It allows participants the opportunity to obtain the training and experience required to launch a career in renewable energy, while also building a valuable network of best-in-class professionals across finance, M&A, development, engineering, commercial strategy, and more.

Throughout the course of the program, participants will learn about and/or develop skills in financial modeling and analysis, transaction and project due diligence, financial structuring, critical contract reading, data room management, and more. Upon successful completion of the internship program, participants will have the opportunity to apply for a full-time role in one of Primergy’s finance departments, which includes Project Finance.

Education and Experience requirements

·         Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree 

·         All majors considered; relevant coursework in finance, accounting, economics, environmental science preferred 

·         0-2 years of relevant experience in project finance, renewable energy, investment banking, corporate development, or private equity

·         Experience using excel for quantitative analysis

·         Above all, curiosity and willingness to tackle any challenge

 

Skillset

·         Unparalleled honesty, integrity, and work ethic

  • Basic understanding of the tools of financial valuation: IRR, NPV, discounted cash flow analysis
  • Ability to quickly step into new tasks and adapt to unique circumstances in a dynamic environment
  • Successfully operate in a geographically dispersed organization is a plus
  • Strong communicator and willingness to work independently and as part of a team across multiple cross-functional departments
