Job description

As a Legal Clerk, you will provide crucial support to the Legal Collection Team, focusing on the preparation and management of legal documents, assisting with small claims cases, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies. You will work closely with the Legal Collection Team Lead to manage a pipeline of cases, support the preparation for small claims hearings, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the collection team.

You Will:

  • Compile documentation for legal proceedings
  • Process small claims actions
  • Communicate with court staff
  • Prepare research, court pleadings, legal materials
  • Represent the company at assigned court hearings

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience with small claims litigation (preferred but not required)
  • Dependable, organized, and able to multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills

Physical demands:

  • Sitting for long periods while operating a computer keyboard and telephone
  • Repetitive movement
  • Local travel to courts may be required
