The Clinical Applications Specialist serves as the company’s clinical product champion. They will provide onsite clinical applications training, while driving increased product utilization by managing and implementing appropriate account strategies within new and existing customers. They are a fundamental contributor to drive product utilization as well as improving the quality of our product by providing feedback to the appropriate functions in the company. Clinical Applications Specialist will also assist study site practices with clinical study executions as needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver Clinical Applications Training to customers including high patient volume surgical practices, which may require on-site visits for multiple days.
  • Deliver Clinical Case Support for patient treatments.
  • Manage customer specific account strategies to drive utilization and clinical protocol implementation meeting the expectations of osmolarity test utilization agreed upon by the customer and Trukera account representative.
  • Ability to work with the field sales team in identifying opportunities to expand product usage in new and existing customer base.
  • Support the customer in post-sales activities including onboarding and integration into the practice.
  • Ensure thorough total office interaction so that the customer is educated about Trukera Medical’s support activities including Customer Care, Technical Support, and Reimbursement Support.
  • Utilize Salesforce/Hubspot reports to prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  • Learn, understand, and verbalize clinical product knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain current and potential customer relationships.
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contracted sales activities.
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns.
  • Timely data completion (detailed call log, lead forecasting, etc.) and maintaining of customer information in Hubspot/CRM.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the clinical operation of an ophthalmology practice including pre- and post-surgical care.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.

  • Ability to travel >50%.
  • High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint), Salesforce, and Hubspot.

  • Microsoft Office programs (MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint), Salesforce, HubSpot, as well as other web tools utilized in communicating with customers.

 

Education Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or Certified Ophthalmic Technician or equivalent with 3+ years ophthalmic practice experience will be considered.
