General Purpose:  This an entry level field-based sales position that requires a hunter sales representative to operate virtually and exclusively focus on growing new business opportunities in the Central  – MN, WI, SD, ND, IA, NE, MO, KS, AR, TN, KY, AL, MS, LA and white space (not covered by BDRs) in MI, IL, IN and West TX.  This representative will leverage virtual resources to rapidly prospect, effectively build a sales funnel and close new business.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Prepare territory action plans and routing schedules to effectively prospect and build sales funnel.

·        Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity, trade shows and website.

·        Attain territory revenue objectives by acquiring new business and driving utilization.

·        Support open territories with a defined region as needed

·        Support the customer in post-sales activities including testing protocol development and device set-up.

·        Ensure through total office interaction that the customer is educated about TearLab’s support activities including Customer Success, Technical Support, and Reimbursement Support.

·        Utilize Salesforce reports to prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.

·        Maintain, understand and verbalize current clinical product knowledge.

·        Identify and resolve customer concerns during scheduled follow-ups.

·        Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.

·        Timely data completion (detailed call log, lead forecasting, etc.) and maintaining of customer information in SalesForce/CRM.

·        Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.

·        15% - 25% travel required
