We seek an Atlanta/Washington, DC/Jacksonville-based Senior Art Director to join our award-winning creative team. JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Art Director is responsible for generating big ideas and arresting visuals for the agency’s clients. He/she oversees the creative development of marketing and promotional materials, including print, radio, television advertisements; collateral; web sites; and digital content. Supervises illustrators, photographers, and production artists on projects. The Senior Art Director works with Account Service/Marketing Managers, under the direction of a Creative Director to develop strategies and evolve concepts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generates creative ideas and arresting visuals
  • Oversees concepting and collateral development by junior staff and interns
  • Works closely with the copywriter to form a productive creative partnership
  • Conducts creative research on projects
  • Produces sketches, storyboards, moodboards, and ‘roughs’ to communicate ideas to the client
  • Briefs other members of the creative/account service team
  • Interfaces with clients to present and discuss work and  recommendations
  • Commissions and coordinates asset creation by photographers, illustrators, artists, animators or videographers
  • Works on location and attends shoots
  • Visits and assesses different locations for potential shoots
  • Oversees pre- and post-production on video projects
  • Works with clients and creative team to select and source appropriate paper stocks and attends press checks
  • Works with interactive designers and developers to maintain design integrity and ensure optimal user experience on digital projects


REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • A degree in design, visual arts, or related field is preferred
  • 7+ years professional design experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop Required
  • Working knowledge of Keynote and Wordpress
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Spanish highly desirable
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, eligible for government clearance
  • Ability to stand or sit in a stationary position for prolonged periods (approximately 75% of the time)


PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 3rd party ad serving experience
  • Skilled in the application of digital marketing, marketing automation and content delivery tools
  • Operational understanding of marketing tactics
  • Analytical, with the ability to evaluate data and interpret results
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
  • Follow through, reliability, and accountability
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics a plus
