POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will collaborate with school staff and community-based organizations to engage parents in a multi-tiered support program that allows them to attain scholarship dollars for their student, participated in group education about the most effective pathways towards livable wage careers and receive individual coaching to support them in making decision around key student milestones.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


·       Recruit and establish strong relationships both with families and the local community to help build the T3 program throughout Tarrant County

o   Analyze recruitment trends and data to create a metric-driven strategy around new family engagement that meets recruitment and enrollment goals

o   Foster relationships and develop champions with youth-serving community-based organizations, faith leaders, elected officials, and civic and community leaders with a focus on building new partnerships that will increase recruitment and lead to the positive engagement of the T3 Family Alliance communities

o   Engage external stakeholders with a focus on building new partnerships that will support the work of communicating educational options to families in the communities we serve

o   Research and register for local community events

o   Maintain, organize, and manage recruitment communications with interested families including email, voicemail, T3’s website, and social media

 

·       Create a community of families who are aware and eager to pursue student pathways leading to postsecondary credentials and livable wage careers

o   Execute on T3’s Parent Pledge campaign to enlist parents to receive our programmatic supports

o   Identify community anchor organizations to partner with and build neighborhood specific collaboration

o   Attend community events to build relationships and awareness with families and relevant community members

o   Support school-based staff in executing family engagement events

o   Compel middle school families to take actions that build strong foundation for their student’s postsecondary pathways 

 

·       Provide relevant resources and learning opportunities for families regarding high school and postsecondary pathways

o   Implement T3’s family engagement communication strategy for assigned neighborhood/feeder pattern

o   Facilitate family group learning modules focused on building student career interests, understanding high school options and navigating the transition to high school

o   Execute strategy to encourage families to complete virtual learning modules 

·       Act as a high-level case manager to ensure families get support needed to make informed decisions for student milestones

o   Build a deep understanding of available services for families to access in a particular neighborhood/school feeder pattern

o   Foster strong individual relationships with families to understand their student’s career interests and connect them to relevant resources/people to support


QUALIFICATIONS


Education

·       Some college or Professional training, Associate degree, or Bachelor degree in relevant field, advanced degree preferred.

 

Experience

·       2+ years of professional experience working within higher education, K-12 education, workforce development, community organizing and/or in non-profit setting

·       Experience and success working in a matrixed organizational structure
