POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, performance management, benefits solutions, PTO/leave, and enforcing, reviewing, and updating company policies and practices. This position will also oversee DEI initiatives across the organization. 

This person will report to the Director of Operations and will play a key role in ensuring that T3 has the people systems, structures, and policies in place to support the organization’s rapid growth. They will be instrumental in creating a great work environment, promoting employee engagement, and identifying great individuals to join our team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

-Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings

-Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

-Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

-Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

-Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

-Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

-Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

-Manages T3’s DEI initiatives; identify learning solutions as it relates to DEI work, procure expert level facilitation for team professional development, and routinely evaluate diversity, equity, and inclusion work in our organization.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Experience

    -Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

    - At least 2 years of human resource management experience preferred.

    -SHRM-CP or HRCI (aPHR or PHR) a plus.

      -Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

     -Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

     -A strong problem-solving orientation. Responds to internal/external issues with a solutions-oriented mindset; additionally, an ability to predict potential problems and solve them proactively.

     -Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

     -A degree of personal organization and results-orientation that enables success in a quantitative, outcomes-oriented environment.  

     -A proven ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently on complex initiatives.  

     -Ability to operate with humility, an open mind, and a sense of urgency.
