About Us: Fathers’ UpLift is the country’s first mental health and substance abuse treatment facility for fathers and families, helping fathers become and remain emotionally stable for their children. Fathers' UpLift uses peer coaching, father-child therapy, training, youth programs, and support for incarcerated and recently released fathers to honor and rehabilitate the relationship between thousands of fathers and families in the Boston area. In their outpatient clinic, over 800 fathers and families receive mental health services from clinicians trained in trauma who reflect the population served. Outside of the clinic, Fathers' UpLift partners with community centers, substance abuse programs, and other agencies to build a holistic approach to helping fathers rebuild their lives and their relationship with their family.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates activities in the areas of recruitment, supervision, and administrative issues.
Recruitment:
Annual applications: 10
Annual Interviews: 9
Total Intern Class: 5
Monitors all applications to the internship.
Completes initial screening of applications and coordinate interviews.
Manages database to ensure that all applications are screened by appropriate personnel for interview selection.
Schedules interviews for internship.
Emails information to all interviewees on behalf of the agency.
Emails "Notification of No Interview" to all applicants who are not asked to interview
With approval, prepares offer letters for selected candidates.
With approval prepare trainee contracts, sending those contracts to incoming trainees, and tracking the return of those signed-by-the trainee contracts.
Supervision:
Provide clinical supervision as needed.
Organizes meetings for all interns prior to formal evaluations in November.
Ensures that two performance evaluations (fall and spring) are completed.
Files performance evaluations.
Ensures that each intern meets with other team members as directed for the mid-year and final reviews.
Maintain consistent contact with the trainees designated school advisor. Attend meetings with the advisor as scheduled.
Maintains Internship files.
Other duties, as necessary

Ability to be very detail-oriented and at the same time be able to be focused on the broad goal(s) of the program.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to ensure confidentiality.
Working knowledge of computerized software programs to include Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. (PowerPoint.)
Ability to be an effective liaison and excellent professional representative.
Excellent customer service skills.
The ability to take notes quickly at Training Committee meetings
