What you'll do:
The Shop Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the repair process is completed correctly and in a timely manner. This position also plays a vital role in supporting both the front of shop and back of shop during peak hours by completing additional tasks as needed.
This position requires flexibility, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently, and high attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Support all departments, as needed, under the direction of the General Manager
Receive and check in parts: Receive and match delivered parts to repair orders and ensure all parts are placed and accounted for on the parts cart and labeled with repair order number
Inspect delivered parts for quality: Inspect parts for damage and invoice for accurate part count upon delivery - if parts are damaged or there’s missing parts notify General Manager immediately
Learn skills to complete vehicle intake: Complete pre-wash, pre-scan, basic mapping and take standard photo package, and building a repair packet
Complete daily tasks: Complete daily tasks such as but not limited to cleaning office, throwing trash, shop clean up, vehicle detailing, run errands, assist as needed and directed by General Manager.
Monitor assignments: Regularly monitor CCC inbox for new assignments, contact customers and make notes accordingly.
Coordinate parts invoicing (as needed): Ensure parts invoices are posted in the estimating platform - make corrections as necessary
Review with customers and walk through high-level repair process and next steps (as needed): Greet customers by phone or in-person; educate customers about the collision repair process (high-level overview), including insurance claims information, processing and payment procedures
Requirements:
Legally authorized to work in the United States with a valid Driver’s License
Ability to read and understand instructions
Ability to lift up to 50lbs,
Must be able to pass thorough background check
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time and be able to walk, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch frequently.
