Job Description:
This position is responsible to provide support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via work order) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues for end-users
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Assist with network connectivity issues and resolve problems with LAN and WAN
Perform routine system maintenance, including updates and patches
Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues
Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
Maintain inventory of equipment, software, and licenses
Receive and respond to incoming calls, Helpdesk tickets regarding desktop problems.
Validate & grant VPN access for remote users.
Support in testing and deployment of new applications and systems.
Provide user training on computer systems and software application
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience in Desktop support, and Office 365.
Proficient in Windows operating systems and related software applications
Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware
Basic understanding of Network concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good time management and organizational skills
Work Conditions:
Sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time.
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
In-district travel is required for the purpose of on-site hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
Desired Qualifications:
MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or MCDST certification
Knowledge of MAC OS is preferred
