Primary Objectives of Position
Under supervision of Service Center Manager and Foreman, this person will operate a forklift to move chassis and materials within the Service CenterMajor Duties & Responsibilities
o Unload and load intermodal chassis for storage or repair
o Have a working knowledge of intermodal chassis and be able to complete needed repairs including:
• Complete Brake Repair
• Electrical system
• Air Systems
• Landing legs
o All structural repairs that may require welding or the use of a torch
o Be able to complete safety inspections
o Be able to identify and complete CFR requirements for air brake certification
Job Specifications & Requirements
o Proven experience as a forklift operator
o Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
o Valid Certification to operate forklifts
o Ability to operate a welding machine and cutting torch
o Ability to understand/read English
