Purpose/Summary:

Under supervision of Service Center Manager and Foreman, this person performs complete repair of intermodal chassis

 

Key Responsibilities:

o    Has the knowledge to complete all repairs on intermodal chassis including:

§  Complete brake jobs

§  Electrical systems

§  Air systems

§  Landing legs

§  All structural repairs that require welding and using a torch

§  Conduct safety inspections

§  CFR requirements for air brake certification 

 

Technical Skills:

o    Ability to read and understand work order

o    Ability to operate a welding machine and cutting torch

o    Ability to identify parts need for repairs

o    Ability to comprehend/read English

 

 

Education Level: High School diploma or Equivalent
