Primary Objectives of Position

 

The Fleet Specialist position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of strategic client operations as it relates to data integrity, inventory control, reporting and communication both internally and externally in support of a strategic client’s chassis fleet. One of the primary objectives of this role is to improve chassis availability for the strategic client. This position will also be expected to present related data, basic analysis, and develop standard reports to be provided on a regular basis to management to assist in client fulfillment. Significant interaction and correspondence with both internal departments and external customers and vendors is an expectation for this role.


Duties and Responsibilities

 Chassis Administration

·         Maintain the integrity of a strategic client chassis fleet within the Company’s asset management system.


·         Manage aging/Idle chassis list to accelerate return of units and escalate as necessary to facilitate asset returns


·         Lost unit identification, management and billing


·         In and out of network data reconciliation


·         Chassis release monitoring and analytics


 Data Integrity

·         Monitor chassis chain of custody daily


·         Monitor and manage billing logic data processing leveraging the Company’s billing system


·         Validation of “street turn” processing timeliness and accuracy


·         Review and engage with customers and motor carrier EDI compliance and timeliness


·         Management of dislocated units to ensure return


 Operational and Customer Reporting

·         Assist with data gathering, data integrity, analysis, and reporting

Job Specifications


Minimum Education / Qualifications


·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred


 Minimum Years of Relevant Experience


·         2-5 years of working experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain


·         Experience with asset management systems, trucker EDIs, GPS data, and similar systems is desirable


 Mandatory Technical Skills


·         Office 365 suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, SharePoint


·         Microsoft Excel – ability to create worksheets, charts/graphs, data tables, pivot tables


·         PowerPoint – ability to create PowerPoint slides, insert graphics/images/shapes, animate slides


·         Ability to quickly learn new systems and applications


 Other Preferred Skills:


·         Ability to effectively interact and secure support from a variety of internal and external “client” courses including Fleet Administration, Field Operations, Truckers and 3PLs, and depot vendors


·         Prior working experience in Intermodal/Shipping domain


·         Develop and maintain outstanding customer and vendor relationships.
