StorySlab is a mobile sales technology platform company located in Syracuse, NY. On our proprietary platform, we provide intuitive and effortless sales enablement applications for inside & outside sales teams. We market to business-to-business clients, with a focus on enabling salespeople with effortless systems that streamline selling in both face-to-face & screen-to-screen environments.

We're looking for a Senior Web Services Engineer with 3-5 years of experience who is adaptable, enjoys learning, self-motivated, and well suited for an entrepreneurial environment. Candidates should be able to present projects that demonstrate current skills and interests.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help develop a robust & scalable cloud infrastructure for our SaaS technology platform

  • Identify and develop reusable frameworks to enable future rapid development of web services

  • Design, develop, debug, and deploy backend web services for SaaS technology platform,  from requirements stage through deployment into an AWS cloud infrastructure environment

  • Help define our technology roadmap, identifying critical features and identifying requirements for product development 



Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years experience in software engineering, designing cloud-native backend web services or APIs. Candidates should have a good grip on best coding practices, a passion for cloud architecture and technology, a willingness to learn and grow, and ability to express their creativity in the context of solving problems. They should have work experience with many of the following:

  • Cloud Architecture (AWS / VPC / Lambda / API Gateway / Cognito / RDS / DynamoDB / S3 / SNS / SQS / Kinesis)

  • Experience developing scalable APIs and web services in JavaScript/NodeJS

  • Server & database administration (Linux / Nginx  / PostgreSQL )

  • Extra points for: TypeScript, ReactJS, ReactNative, NestJS, DynamoDB
