StorySlab is seeking tenacious Sales Development Representatives (SDR) to join our growing sales team preferably in Syracuse, NY. This is an entry-level sales and marketing role in the software industry. The role is a great opportunity for motivated individuals that are looking to start a career in business development and technology sales.
StorySlab solves real-world problems by streamlining the inefficient industry of Sales Enablement. We make software tools to equip sales reps in their conversations with their prospects.
What you’ll do:
Reach out to potential customers, largely by telephone but periodically via email, LinkedIn and other digital marketing formats, to see if they are a fit for the StorySlab offering.
Balance email and cold calling strategies to schedule demo’s for Account Executives, and on occasion deliver those sales demonstrations yourself.
Learn from an experienced Account Executive though sales opportunities that you uncover.
Work hands on with sales tools to increase productivity and effectiveness (CRM, Marketing Automation, Sales Automation, etc.)
Attend training sessions on StorySlab products and selling software in general.
Occasional travel to attend conferences and other industry events to assist in sales and marketing.
Occasionally represent StorySlab at other events.
Shadow your dedicated Account Executive in meetings and other activities to help you acquire the skills you’ll need for your next role on the sales team.
What you’ll need:
BA/BS degree preferred, but not required, and 1-3 years of professional work experience in Sales, Retail, etc.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You should be a persuasive writer, speaker, and listener.
Fearless - willing to hop on the phone with new people every single day and explain StorySlab's value proposition as it relates to each individual you speak with.
Independent - Able to introduce prospects to StorySlab without needing someone to hold your hand
Candid - Speak up to help us improve the status quo when logic and reason require it.

A competitive compensation package, that includes base plus commissions where you can earn $50,000-$60,000 a year.
