FP&A Analyst

 

The FP&A Analyst is responsible for evaluating and reporting analytics

for assigned area, as well as performing other ad hoc analysis and making recommendations based on outcomes. This individual supports the team through building and evaluating analytic models, visualization of key metrics, and advising as to the impact of changes. Plays a major role in building out monthly reporting on centralized internal dashboard. This individual must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, translate business data into actionable information, and keep business leaders apprised with little oversight.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Builds and maintains detailed financial models to analyze the state of the business and to advise product and pricing strategies, as well as other key items.

·         Collaborates with all parts of the business, including senior leadership to facilitate clear and timely communication of key business insights.

·         Tracks, and evaluates effectiveness of commercial strategies. Prepares presentations to communicate actionable results, and recommends strategic changes as needed.

·         Creates and analyzes large relational datasets; mines data and produces analysis in support of business units to optimize long term revenue goals.

·         Assists with managing projects with minimal supervision.

·         Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

·         Capable of handling and analyzing large datasets (Excel, etc.).

·         Strong analytical skills.

·         Expertise in data models data mining

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.

·         Excellent attention to detail.

·         Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously under stringent deadlines.

·         Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment with an ability to build relationships and collaborate with others.

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree with courses in finance/economics/accounting or appropriate combination of education and experience required.

·         Minimum 2 years’ experience in analysis, database experience and data visualization experience required.

·         Proven working experience with research and analysis.
