What’s better than a toy? A toy that makes toys! Toybox is the first-of-its-kind 3D printer and creativity platform that lets kids find, design, and build the things they love right at home.

Toybox is growing rapidly and has been featured on Bloomberg, Forbes, CNN, Wired, Mashable and Wall Street Journal, with appearances on Shark Tank, The Today Show, The Price Is Right, and Netflix. With licensed content from the biggest media brands like DC Comics, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers, and Paramount Studios, Toybox is expanding and looking for talent to push the forefront of play for the next generation.

We're a small, tight-knit team based in Oakland and Seattle, along with other fully remote members all over the world. We're looking for go-getters who value impactful design. If you are driven to create a better, smarter future, then this is the place for you.

We are looking to bring on a 3D designer excited about shaping the future of toys and printable products at our company. In particular we are looking for someone who can design for 3D printing, understands the complications of designing for 3D printing, understands structure, and maybe some sculpting. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Work with a small team to drive innovation in our toy and printables line.
• Be able to ideate in a group as well as alone.
• A self-starter, you run your own schedule, making sure you can deliver on time.
• Forward looking, what can we do that hasn’t been done before?

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Solid portfolio, (please provide link to portfolio in application)
• Familiarity with FDM printers
• Understanding of the work flow of polygon 3D modeling (sculpting is a plus)
• Some understanding of articulation, joints, and mechanical parts
• Ability to work remotely, Toybox was built up as a remote first company and we plan to enable remote workers going forward.
