THE WELL New York
Adjacent to Union Square Park and just steps away from Fifth Avenue, THE WELL New York is an integrated wellness center in the heart of New York City. The 13,000-square-foot space brings together modern medicine and ancient healing practices that focus on whole-person health. The brand’s flagship location includes a full-service spa (featuring a steam room, dry and infrared saunas, as well as treatment rooms for bodywork and skin care), a functional medicine practice and health coaching, Chinese medicine and acupuncture, an organic wellness café, yoga and meditation studios, a foot rub and IV therapy lounge and an innovative posture lab. Every detail of THE WELL — thoughtful design, abundant amenities, expert-vetted products, well-sourced ingredients and more — is meant to help you make wellness part of your every day.
 
The Role
THE WELL is seeking a Wellness Guide. If you have a drive for success, a passion for wellness, a strong desire to work in a growing startup and are looking for a new and exciting career opportunity we want to hear from you. The Guides are responsible for maximizing the revenue of The Club through client experience, effective scheduling, yield management, and sales.  As an Ambassador for THE WELL, this role ensures outstanding anticipatory service for all members and guests in the space and the wellness retail area. 
 
Key Areas of Responsibility
 
Guest Relations
  • Maintain the highest standard of guest service by following THE WELL’s protocols and displaying genuine care and attention to detail.
  • Conduct club tours for all guests as requested.
  • Act as an Ambassador for THE WELL at all times.
  • Consistently record guest preferences, accurately updating guest profiles and communicating any relevant information to colleagues.
  • Report any guest complaints to the Lead on Duty so that they can be handled promptly and effectively. 
Sales
  • Maximize revenue of treatments and programs through effective scheduling, yield management.
  • Contribute to the team’s overall targets and strive to achieve personal targets and goals as set out by the Management team.
  • Maintain a sound treatment and retail knowledge with the ability to accurately describe benefits and prices.
  • Encourage guests to return by recommending an ongoing treatment program, inviting guests to rebook.
  • Responsible for all billing procedures at the reception desk and the correct reconciliation of funds at the close of each shift and at the end of the day’s work.  
Health & Safety
  • Day to day responsibility for equipment, products, cleanliness.
  • Receive training on all relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and Safety at Work Law and Health and Hygiene standards. 
General
  • Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene.
  • Follow uniform standards at all times.
  • Always be punctual and prepared for daily shifts.
  • Support all departments including assisting with events, covering hostess stand and spa attendant duties as and when required.
  • Must adhere to training as determined by the Senior Manager of Operations  and attend all training courses as deemed necessary
  • Duties may include heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a variety of environments ( indoors, outdoors, loud, small etc.)
