Position – Engineering Content Writer (FTE), Part-Time (24 hours per week), starting immediately.
Engineering Content Writer The Engineering Content Writer - The Engineering Content Writer will work closely with the Office of the Chief Engineer, as well as support other Divisions/groups when required. They will coordinate with the sponsors to prioritize delivery of the requested deliverables and work with any relevant application stakeholders, when required to deploy, update and/ or publish content to Agency/Department managed digital platforms, such as EOL365 SharePoint site or the Agency’s external website.
Scope
a. Draft speeches for an organization or organizational representatives
b. Prepare presentations on behalf of organization representatives, in addition to conducting presentations, if requested
c. Develop and support the distribution of press releases and other public-facing communication and marketing collateral
d. Answer inquiries from parties; inter, cross-departmental, as well as external parties e. Update social media platforms with pertinent information
f. Develop content for community events involving the organization.
g. Develop content to support the organization’s collaboration with industry advocates to build areas of common interest
Technical and Experience Requirements
a. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
b. Excellent organizational and conceptual thinking skills.
c. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
d. Experience with digital media platforms
e. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage to change priorities
f. Ability to work independently and with others.
g. A BS/ BA in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical degree is highly desirable
h. Working experience with a large public government agency or utility is a plus
