SCOPE OF WORK
The candidate shall serve as a Rail Engineer for the Civil Unit, Design Division, and Engineering Department and participate in all phases of various Authority projects, including planning, conceptual design, final design, and construction support. Engineer shall perform as a Rail Task Leader and/or Designer as a member of a multidisciplinary team and supervise and/or carry out tasks related to electronics engineering deliverables, and shall coordinate with supervisors and other team members, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, and interface with consultants, as necessary. Post Award Construction Support Services (Stage IV), as specified herein. The Engineer may also serve as a lead engineer, leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering college or university
• Minimum of ten (10) years of civil design experience including at least five (5) years of rail design experience.
• Experience working with FRA and/or AREMA standards
• Experience in engineering small to complex civil infrastructure design projects Page 4 of 4
• Proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D software application • Valid driver's license
