Welcome Enthusiast/Front Desk Agent (Night Audit Relief)
This specific position will be 5 days per week, requiring 2 overnight shifts and 3 AM or PM shifts.
A key participant in the mission to deliver service in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner; The Welcome Enthusiast, will provide guests outstanding customer service and deliver the “Simple Pleasures” needed to give all guests the “Positive Stay” promise. The Welcome Desk is the central hub of any hotel and specifically of Canopy Central – where guests will go to get information on the local neighborhood favorites, things to do and what to eat/drink. These individuals will need to be enthusiastic, welcoming, organized and a great team player.
Night Auditor Duties:
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data, verify correct authorizations have been obtained.
- Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
- Prepare for the following day; close out current day, print any reports and flag reservations accordingly
- Reconcile accounts
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Reports any errors or observations to property leadership
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms based on hotel availability and guest loyalty
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry preferred
- Experience with accounting and facilities management software
- Knowledge of OnQ experience preferred
- Excellent math skill
- An eye for details
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work overnight
- Prior Hilton Brand experience strongly preferred
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all applicable Federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
