Job Title: Video Editor

Reports to: Audio & Visual Lead

Summary:

Responsible for advancing Messenger International’s vision by passionately creating content that tells discipleship in action stories that will impact the world. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce video and audio concepts from beginning to project completion including (color grading, audio mixing, and basic motion graphics) 
  • Edit and produce the following types of Messenger International projects: masterclasses, video/audio podcasts, MessengerX app content, event content, and other marketing materials
  • Maintain current organizational system for media on computers and drives
  • Occasionally prepare, maintain, and setup video and/or audio on-location for recording of various video needs
  • Occasional travel to capture the video/audio needs for Messenger International
  • Other duties, as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • Passion for Messenger International and our resources and projects
  • Proficient in Final Cut Pro X (or other non-linear editing platform such as Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve)
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator etc
  • Understanding and ability to work in web apps (i.e. Dropbox, Google Suite, Vimeo, YouTube, Frame.io etc.)
  • Position requires medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Position may require travel, both domestic and international to document Messenger outreaches
  • Understanding of basic videography (audio capture, camera operation)


Education and/or Experience: 

  • High School Diploma (or GED) or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Please reference your portfolio in your application
  • 1-2 years of experience with editing platform Final Cut Pro X is required

Work Location:
Nashville/Franklin, Tennessee area

Job Type/Schedule:

Full-time, 40-hour work week with the potential for occasional overtime. This is an exempt position and is not subject to overtime pay.

Pay:

This position has a salary range of $42,000 – $48,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
