The CLO Analytics Senior Associate/VP/Director will play an integral role in developing and executing the firm’s CLO operations function. This is our first CLO Analytics-focused team member – the role (and title) will depend on your prior experience and has the opportunity to become what you make of it. This role is based at our company headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
Reporting to the Managing Director of Finance, he/she will be principally responsible for the firm’s CLO surveillance, compliance and analytics, and will work closely with the CLO portfolio managers. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to define and continually improve on the function and processes, and he/she will be expected to take on multiple different responsibilities that may be outside of his/her core experience.
Responsibilities
The CLO Analytics Senior Associate/VP/Director will oversee the CLOs’ compliance reporting, financial reporting, cash management, investor reporting and vehicle performance/analysis, including but not limited to:
- Reviewing legal documents and working with internal and external teams during CLO closings
- Take the lead in building, managing and maintaining the compliance module within the OMS for all portfolio, legal and regulatory rules and guidelines, work closely with the COO/CCO, Managing Director of Finance and Portfolio Managers to ensure portfolio compliance
- Daily CLO cash management and optimization
- Take the lead on CLO performance calculations and other analytics
- Assist portfolio managers with CLO structuring and valuation
- Focus on automation and streamlining of processes
- Serve as primary contact to trustees, loan administrators, custodians, warehouse counterparties, and financing providers
- Responsible for infrastructure and ad‐hoc reporting that helps support the corporate credit & structured credit businesses
- Provide comprehensive risk analyses for portfolio managers, within and outside the scope of the CLO Indenture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree desired, preferably in an accounting or finance related field, from an accredited four-year university
- 7+ years of operational experience with specialization in CLO’s and structured products
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and software tools such as Solvas, Allvue, WSO, Bloomberg, Clearpar, Intex
- Excellent analysis and modeling skills
- Excellent communications skills
- A demonstrated ability to work successfully with others at all levels of the organization in order to get things done
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach with a high level of initiative
- Intellectually curious with a strong desire to learn and grow
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
- Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment and add value beyond designated role/responsibilities
- Proven desire to work in an environment of multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines
