As the Director of Client Development, you will be responsible for leading the sales team in understanding client needs, crafting Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution strategies, and effectively presenting and selling our offerings to a broad range of clients. Your technical expertise and leadership will be crucial in driving revenue growth and ensuring continued client satisfaction. This role is ideal for an individual who has a Technical Account Manager or Pre-Sales Engineer cybersecurity background​, experience building a sales team in an early-stage company,​ and the ability to drive revenue.  

​​Responsibilities​ 

  • Establish and nurture strong client relationships to foster trust, satisfaction, and repeat business.  

  • Lead and manage the ​entire ​sales cycle, providing guidance, setting targets, and ensuring the achievement of sales goals and objectives. 

  • Develop and execute measurable comprehensive sales strategies for MDR solutions, aligning them with market trends and client requirements. 

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and other sales-related metrics to senior management. Continuously monitor and analyze sales performance, making necessary adjustments to achieve targets. 

  • Manage the Channel Program and collaborate with the Channel Partners to align strategies, share insights, and enhance overall customer experience. 

  • Engage with key clients to understand their unique needs and requirements and ensure that MDR solutions are tailored to address their specific security challenges. 

  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales team to enhance their technical knowledge and sales skills, enabling them to sell MDR solutions with confidence. 

  • Oversee the development of collateral material including pitch decks, demos, pricing calculators, etc. 

  • Create and implement marketing strategies around brand awareness by identifying key industry events, ideal audience, and specific marketing opportunities that will provide lead generation. 

  • Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to relay client feedback and influence the product road map to meet market needs. 

  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in the cybersecurity space to adjust sales strategies accordingly. 

Requirements 

  • At least 6 years of proven experience in a Technical Account Manager, Pre-Sales Engineer or as a Solutions Architect with a focus on cybersecurity SOAR, SIEM, MDR/EDR, Identity or Firewall solutions.  

  • At least 2-3 years of proven experience in a Sales leadership role.  

  • Proven experience sustaining a sales pipeline and growing early-stage client development from $5-10M to $30M+ in revenue. 

  • Extensive knowledge of SOAR, SIEM, MDR/EDR, Identity or Firewall technologies and their applications, as well as a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills. 

  • Ability to establish and nurture lead generation by developing metrics around the lead generation cycles. 

  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are beneficial​,​ but not required. 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field preferred.
