Position Overview

The Accounting Manager reports to the CFO. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to oversight of the Accounts Receivable/Collections function, and all aspects of the General Ledger function and related reconciliations. This role is a Hybrid role located in Jersey City, NJ. Applicant must be situated in New Jersey to be considered for the position.

This Position Is Responsible For:

· Direct involvement in all aspects of the Accounts Receivable / Collections function.

· Understand all aspects of the Agency Management System in use, to include underlying transaction processing in the billing module.

· Responsible for all General Ledger account reconciliations to supporting detail, to include bank reconciliations and timely resolution of all reconciling items each month.

· Ensure finance operational processes and procedures are working efficiently to include up to date SOP’s.

· Maintain Accounting/Finance team calendar and ensure milestones are adhered to.

· Partner with internal team and external customers to resolve problem issues both one time and longer term in nature.

· Facilitate external financial audit support and document requirements.

· Projects and analysis as requested.

· Position requirements will flex reflecting changes within Finance and N2G organization.

Experience And Skill Requirements

· 4 Year Undergraduate Accounting degree is required.

· CPA or working toward the CPA exam is a plus.

· 2-5 public or internal audit experience is highly desired with involvement in Accounts Receivable auditing.

· Insurance industry or strong accounting experience without audit will be considered.

· Inquisitive and curious as related to understanding our transactional system intricacies how this translates into the financial statements.

· Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

· Hands on, self-starter who is organized, detail oriented with good problem-solving skills.
