Position Overview
The Sr. Claims Consultant will be a liaison between N2G, the client, Nationwide and Generali offices, brokers, and TPAs for all claim-related matters concerning US Produced and Inbound Business. The candidate will be responsible for effectively communicating and marketing N2G’s global claims capabilities while overseeing best-in-class claims handling processes.
This is a September/November 2025 start date and the position is remote. There will be an option for remote/hybrid role with access to our Jersey City, NJ headquarters.
This Position Is Responsible For
- Providing general oversight on all domestic USA property and casualty claims and directly participating in resolution strategy conferences for medium and large losses
- Strategically analyzing losses and performing trend analysis while working with the risk engineering department as warranted
- Preparing and presenting claim reviews for insureds and brokers to summarize claims, identify trends, and formulate adequate resolution strategy. This includes document preparation, ensuring files are up to date, and scheduling meetings amongst appropriate parties
- Participating in underwriting meetings to provide input on potential risks, account claim history, and brief overall exposure/resolution strategy of any open claims
- Monitoring adjuster best practices and ensuring overall customer satisfaction
- Timely responding to claims inquiries from carriers, brokers, and insureds to include status updates and providing accurate loss data
- Setting up account special handling instructions, working with the carriers/ TPAs for approval, participation, and implementation
- Assist with select accounts for the foreign U.S. Master Policy claims that are handled by TPA partners out of the United Kingdom
- Review all coverage opinions and provide expert advice to the carrier partners and internal leadership team
- Maintain internal large loss tracker with pertinent case developments
- Assist the Chief Claims Officer in stewardship protocols and portfolio management
Experience And Skill Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience with Commercial Property and Casualty claims
- Bachelor’s degree required (can be waived with proper experience)
- Preferred majors: risk management and insurance, economics, business, and finance
- Technical understanding of P&C products and services, to include ISO based forms
- Ability to think and work independently to gather and analyze data
- Possess the skills necessary to be customer facing and to resolve conflict in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to solve problems and to find solutions to austere challenges
- Proven ability to analyze insurance policy documentation and legal correspondence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competence with MS Office products
- Experience in ancillary lines of insurance is a plus (Ocean Marine, Inland Marine, Aviation, Financial Lines, and Builder’s Risk)

Position Salary and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $120,000 depending on actual experience, skillset, and location. In addition to base salary, full time N2G employees are also eligible for bonus potential.
