Position:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will contribute to CorMedix’s overall sales objective by performing assigned sales related activities. The KAM will provide physicians, pharmacists, nurses and all healthcare professionals (HCPs) with product, services and approved information that will enable the HCPs to appropriately prescribe Defencath™. The KAM will compliantly and successfully implement CorMedix’s marketing strategies and corresponding tactics in order to achieve short-term and long-term objectives

The ideal candidate will be capable of managing the territory and administrative requirements in an efficient and effective manner and will achieve full compliance with drug laws and regulations when representing CorMedix and Defencath™ to Healthcare Providers

 

  

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Achieve the assigned sales objective for the territory
  • Attain the designated goals for calls on appropriate healthcare professionals to communicate balanced, accurate, and complete information on Defencath™
  • Develops and implements a territory business plan to meet customer needs and achieve goals
  • Navigate through complex external/customer organizational structures including Outpatient (LDO, MDO, SDO) and Acute Dialysis Accounts, hospitals, IDNs, formulary / P&T processes GPOs and healthcare communities while aligning with cross-functional commercial partners
  • Demonstrate completion of administrative requirements including budget management, expense reports management, CRM call reporting and synchronization, etc. within timelines and company guidelines
  • Operate the territory within the assigned expense budget and demonstrates fiscal responsibility
  • Comply with all federal/state/local laws, regulations and guidelines including but not limited to the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals as well as complying with all CorMedix standards and policies relating to all job activities
  • Successful completion and ongoing updates of all aspects of training including but not limited to product knowledge, disease state, complex reimbursement environment, market, selling skills and compliance
  • Assists in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities while communicating proactively to marketing and sales management
  • 50% Travel requirement within the assigned territory and other national or regional conferences / internal meetings as needed.

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Management of large territories that includes periodic overnight travel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, notably WORD, EXCEL and POWER POINT

 

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required, ideally in business/marketing/healthcare/life science areas of concentration
  • 6+ years of successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience with 3+ working with dialysis organizations, nephrology, hospital formulary processes, and/or infectious disease markets is highly preferred.
