CorMedix Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing therapeutic products for the prevention and treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases. Our Company is focused on developing its lead investigational drug product, Defencath™, a novel, antimicrobial and antifungal solution designed to prevent catheter-related bloodstream infections (“CRBSIs) in patients with end-stage renal disease receiving hemodialysis through a central venous catheter. Recently, the Company submitted the New Drug Application (NDA) for Defencath™ to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Future research and NDA’s submissions may include indications for similar infectious outcomes in oncology, ICU, and patients receiving total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
Position:
CorMedix seeks a Director of Sales Training, reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. This individual will be a member of the commercial leadership team and help shape the overall commercial strategy to deliver results for CorMedix. This is a field-based position with 30% travel to work in the field with the sales team as well as occasional travel to our CorMedix New Jersey office.
This individual will lead development and implementation of sales training programs to maximize effectiveness of a contracted inpatient hospital sales team and an internal outpatient dialysis facility sales team. They will collaborate across internal and external teams to establish learning objectives, course content and learning metrics for inpatient and outpatient strategic market segments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales training programs for the launch of a novel product in the inpatient hospital and outpatient dialysis facility market
- Oversee, develop and schedule sales training programs across a variety of training mediums (in-person, virtual, eLearning, job aids, coaching and inspecting)
- Collaborate with sales leadership to assess learning needs and create impactful training programs in support of key initiatives for onboarding and continued development
- Conduct ongoing needs assessments to identify gaps and remove barriers to sales team performance
- Facilitate key sales and selling courses
- Cultivate strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and executive teams)
- Partner with internal and external Sales Leadership to ensure training objectives are met with consistency and in compliance with the sales training strategy
Skills & Requirements:
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills; outstanding verbal and written communication skils
- Strong exeuctive presence
- Experience designing and leading continuous improvement sessions with provevn track record of improving employee experience and learning team efficiency and effectiveness
- Strong strategic, conceptual, and analytical thinking and decision-making skills
- Self-motivated; highly driven to produce results
- Keeps current on relevant therapeutic and pharmaceutical sales training areas to maintain current knowledge and gain new ideas relevant to training and education
- Expert understanding of clinical and sales while identifying applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems
- Expert understanding of related aspects of sales training processes and/or systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's degree preferred
- At least 5 years of expeirence in sales training or sales enablement in the pharmaceutical, healthcare of medical device industry with demonstrated success in program development and execution
- Experience measuring and monitoring training impact through performance analysis and learning retention model
- Knowledge of adult learning and change management principles
- Competent with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
