Position:

CorMedix seeks an HR Generalist who will report to the Head of HR. This position will support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, new hire onboarding/orientation, administering pay, benefits, and leave, tracking training compliance, facilitating performance management processes, enforcing company policies and practices, and supporting various HR programs with an interpersonal style that helps maintain positive employee relations and fosters a positive work environment. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. 

This is a local role commutable to our CorMedix New Jersey office on a hybrid basis.

Our Company is focused on developing its lead investigational drug product, Defencath™, a novel, antimicrobial and antifungal solution designed to prevent catheter-related bloodstream infections (“CRBSIs) in patients with end-stage renal disease receiving hemodialysis through a central venous catheter. Recently, the Company submitted the New Drug Application (NDA) for Defencath™ to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Future research and NDA’s submissions may include indications for similar infectious outcomes in oncology, ICU, and patients receiving total parenteral nutrition (TPN).

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle new hire onboarding/orientation and offboarding
  • Track compliance with HR requirements (training, performance reviews, policies, etc
  • Facilitate performance management processes
  • Assist with 401k, Benefits, Compensation, and Equity program administration
  • Support HR program, system and vendor implementations
  • Organize, maintain and update employee HRIS and HR files/ records; run HR reports
  • Develop and enforce company policies and practices
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist when needed in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, initiating background checks, and conducting references, and applicant tracking
  • Liaison with PEO, handle and track requests for resolution
  • Revise and maintain job descriptions
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Complete mandatory government reports
  • Coordinate with Finance on payroll, payroll tax, PEO invoicing, DOL requests, etc.
  • Serve as a point of contact with HR vendors
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas
  • Maintain HR Calendar
  • Generate Organizational Charts
  • Stay current with the latest HR trends and best practices
  • Foster positive employee relations
  • Abide by company-enforced HR processes and current employment laws and regulations
  • Prepare correspondence and perform clerical functions
  • Works on a variety of special projects as needed
  • Back up for office management and reception responsibilities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Key Attributes:


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years related experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP or PHR credential preferred
  • Life Sciences/Pharma industry experience is a plus
