CorMedix Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing therapeutic products for the prevention and treatment of life-threatening conditions and diseases. CorMedix is commercializing DefenCath® (taurolidine and heparin) for the prevention of catheter-related bloodstream infections in adult patients undergoing hemodialysis via a central venous catheter.

Following its August 2025 acquisition of Melinta Therapeutics LLC, CorMedix is also commercializing a portfolio of anti-infective products, including MINOCIN® (minocycline) for Injection, REZZAYO® (rezafungin), VABOMERE® (meropenem and vaborbactam), ORBACTIV™ (oritavancin), BAXDELA® (delafloxacin), and KIMYRSA® (oritavancin), as well as TOPROL-XL® (metoprolol succinate).

CorMedix has ongoing clinical studies for DefenCath in Total Parenteral Nutrition and Pediatric patient populations and also intends to develop DefenCath as a catheter lock solution for use in other patient populations. REZZAYO is currently approved for the treatment of candidemia and invasive candidiasis in adults, with an ongoing Phase III study for the prophylaxis of IFD in adult patients undergoing allogeneic BMT. POSITION:

The Inside Sales Specialist (ISS) is a remote engagement/virtual customer interaction position focused on launching and selling innovative products across several settings of care, including, but not limited to, hospitals and outpatient infusion centers. The role includes virtually educating clinicians on the clinical benefits of CorMedix Therapeutics products to facilitate and gain improved institutional formulary access while expanding appropriate product utilization, thru protocol adoption, to exceed business and customer objectives within the assigned accounts. ISS’s will follow the hospitalized patient’s journey in and out of the hospital.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively prioritizes and manages time, activities, and resources to optimize access to and development of key accounts
  • Persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, proper terminology, and approved messaging
  • Increase product access and sales in the geographical area by navigating the institutional formulary approval process, as well as educating customers on appropriate use of CorMedix Therapeutics products via outbound telephone or video calls. This is completed by engaging HCP targets in in-depth discussions
  • Partner with the Key Account Managers (field sales) to support the pursuit of formulary and drive brand advocacy and awareness by building and executing against territory strategies and account-specific plans
  • Secure placement of CorMedix Therapeutics' products on appropriate account protocols and ensure products are in the EMR systems
  • Develop relationships with non-hospital sites of care (Home Infusion, POICs, alternative sites of infusion) in line with the different brand strategies
  • Develop territory and account-level plans to grow product utilization, formulary access, and expand the customer base
  • Understand multiple interdependencies within an account, consider customer treatment goals and needs, and maximize account performance by aligning appropriate solutions, messaging, and stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customer opinion leaders and hospitals, including physicians, medical staff, non-medical personnel, and pharmacies
  • Collaborates with Inside Sales Director and other CorMedix Therapeutics employees during scheduled virtual call shadow days per quarter
  • Executes virtual speaker programs and presentations for assigned sites
  • Facilitate continuity of care for discharging patients via CorMedix Therapeutics product inclusion on discharge protocols/orders and alignment of approved CorMedix Therapeutics reimbursement resources
  • Collaborate and communicate with Sales, Medical Affairs, National Accounts, Marketing, and Sales Administration on all needs, opportunities, Key Opinion Leader touch points, formulary changes and pull-through initiatives
  • Verify and complete required data entry to CRM in accordance with policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity
  • Demonstrates and upholds the highest standards of integrity and compliance

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a continued focus on utilizing phone and other virtual channels to create, nurture, and expand relationships with HCPs to achieve brand objectives.
  • Ability to create alternate sites of care in assigned territory.
  • Success planning and executing a product or solution launch into a hospital/account setting.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and results driven individual.
  • Must be able to work well independently and as a team member; under pressure, shifting priorities, and a changing landscape.
  • Strong project management skills to ensure timelines are met, as well as the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • A passion for continuous professional development and learning.

  • Ability to establish and build relationships and rapport with a diverse customer base.
  • Strong ability to learn and use technical product knowledge.
  • Experience and ability to use PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Salesforce, Teams and Zoom.
  • Periodic travel to business meetings as needed. Must be familiar with relevant legal and regulatory environment in biotech/pharmaceutical industry and have a demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity and to compliant execution.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 3 years Clinical experience in the last 8 years (licensed and/or credentialed health care provider e.g. RN, BSN, NP, PA, RPH, ASCP, etc.) or 5+ years Inside Sales Experience.
  • Preferred hospital experience in Acute Care and/or Infectious Disease.
