Designed by education experts and loved by busy families throughout the United States, our play-based outdoor curriculum guides parents in raising healthy, confident, and capable kids. Through instructor-led and do-it-yourself programming that spans all four seasons, Tinkergarten makes purposeful outdoor play doable for every family—rain or shine. We're a small but powerful team on a mission to improve the lives of kids and their families, and we're hiring interns to help us. You’ll support our Senior Manager of Content Marketing, as well as our larger Marketing team, in executing a wide variety of content-focused initiatives to help grow our audience and bring the joy of outdoor play to more families across the country.
This role is an amazing opportunity to gain startup experience across social media, editorial content, SEO, influencer marketing, brand partnerships and PR.

Build and proofread new blog articles in our CMS
Schedule finalized social content across channels
Source, organize and resize photos for a wide array of Marketing initiatives
Support PR efforts by pulling quotes and photos for media pitching and regularly updating company Press page with links to new coverage
With guidance from the Marketing team, manage outreach and logistics related to influencer and brand partnerships
With guidance from the Marketing team, respond to incoming commentary on social media channels and engage followers in further conversations
Assist with research (e.g. on new tools and platforms) as needed
What You’ll Learn
How to participate in content planning discussions, contributing your ideas for social media and editorial (blog) content
How to create original social content for Instagram and other social media channels
Familiarity with the content marketing landscape and how it drives larger business goals
What you’ll bring:
Strong communications skills, written and verbal
An interest in digital content, including social media
Familiarity with and comfort navigating social media channels, particularly Instagram
Eagerness to learn new skills and platforms, and roll up your sleeves to solve problems
A passion for staying organized
Strong organization and time management skills
Comfortable working on a fully remote team
What will set you apart:
Pursuing a degree English, Journalism or Communications
Previous experience writing and editing for a publication
This can include work done for your college publication or previous internships
Previous experience managing social media accounts
Skill in social media content creation including copywriting, graphic design and/or basic video editing
Nuts and bolts:
This role is a paid internship opportunity
You can dedicate a minimum of 10-20 hrs/week for 3 months with potential to reevaluate and extend at the end of the 3 month period.
