Premier, LLC is seeking to fill a full-time position for a Contract Specialist to support the Department of Veterans Affair

Candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in conducting comprehensive acquisition support activities with a working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

Candidate will support Federal client with cradle to grave (pre-award to post award) procurements/acquisitions for Medical Sharing, Prosthetics, Services and Supplies, Leasing, and/or Construction. Duties may include: assisting with development of acquisition packages/documents (SOWs/PWSs, IGCEs, J&A, SSEP, Market Research, etc.); review of these documents for quality, clarity, and adherence to applicable regulations (FAR, agency regulations, etc.) and recommendation of revisions; assisting with contract closeouts; performing audits of contract files ensuring adherence to policies, regulations, and identifying any duplication of efforts across contract

Candidate must possess at least 24 semester hours among accounting, law, business, finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organization and management or a FAC-C or DAWIA Level II in Contracting Certification.

Candidate shall be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; familiar with FEDBiz Ops, CPARS/PPIRS, EPLS, SAM, and GSA eBuy. Experience with VA’s electronic Contract Management System (eCMS) is preferred but not required.

Candidate shall have excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and cost data; ability to read and interpret acquisition policy, regulations, and directives; and ability to provide clear leadership, technical direction, and guidance to all lower level acquisition personnel.
