Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic team. Product Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of product lifecycles, from ideation and development to launch and continuous improvement. He/She will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of products that meet market needs and drive business growth. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of product management principles, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of bringing successful products to market. This role will be based out of our office in Hsinchu City, Taiwan (R.O.C), and will require reliable transportation to commute to this location.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving all sustaining activities for active, released products throughout their life cycles. This includes product change management, life cycle planning and ultimately end-of-life (EOL) planning.

  • Manage the risk of on time product delivery for specialty customers throughout the supply chain and risk mitigation plan based on backlog and forecast.

  • Point of contact for Product Marketing, Product Engineering (PE), Finance and Supply Chain Management(SCM) for all product management related activities.

  • Working with PE team to analyze yield and bin yield on an on-going basis. Identify issues (specification changes needed, recurring yield issues etc.) that need resolution and work cross-functionally to identify and implement corrective actions.

  • Generate and maintain product datasheets for assigned portfolio. This includes working with support teams providing source data for generating the document (characterization team, product engineering team, mechanical drafting team etc.)

  • Work with Product Marketing and supply chain Management to define Bill of Materials (BOM) and finished goods buffer stock targets to support the business and market requirements.

  • Work with Product Engineering and SCM for product change management and ensure the product competiveness and healthy.

  • Work with marketing on product obsolescence and EOL analysis. Lead decision making process and execute EOL process.

  • Cost roadmap: monitor cost trends and work with marketing to identify products requiring cost reduction. Coordinates cross-functionally cost reduction initiatives until completion.

  • Act as coordinator in the resolution of technical issues affecting production and drive the generation of diligent action plans with clear schedule, allowing supply chain to estimate accurately re-schedule dates to communicate to customer service team.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to analyse data, draw conclusion and structure resulting action plan.

  • Proven experience defining or improving processes or SOP strongly desired

  • This role requires interacting with staff globally in English. Excellent writing and working level speaking skills are a must.

  • Education: Master’s in Sciences preferred (Bachelor’s in Sciences acceptable) preferably in Opto-semiconductor, EE, Mechanical or similar acceptable as long as knowledgeable in LED or similar products at the device level and knowledgeable in EE.

  • Experience: above 5 years strongly desired. Candidates with shorter but directly relevant experience or education considered.
