Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of Quality including NPI Quality, Supplier Quality, Customer Quality, CM related process control & Quality Systems.
- Establish effective culture and process control with CM to towards Zero-defects vision.
- Lead in major product, process and manufacturing related issue resolution, apply 8D with ability to manage the disposition and risk assessment decision.
- Work together with CM to host customer audit and manage customer complaints/enquiry.
- Establishes standards for the disposition of finished product by in depth failure mechanism understanding, evaluation tests, methods, and procedures.
- Creates product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Collaborates with other departments in the areas related to new product development, engineering designs and manufacturing changes, establish training method and involve in NPI control plans, DFMEA and PFMEA review.
- Implements effective in-process and post-process product inspection standards (including ORT).
- Drive continuous improvements to Luminus’ quality management systems and product quality by establishing and enforcing quality standards, methods and procedures in contract manufacturing factories throughout the product life cycle.
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience and direct knowledge in Semiconductor or/and LED product and packaging technology, tools and manufacturing process. Engage in high volume factory support from supplier quality, factory quality to customer issues management.
- Knowledge in LED/Semiconductor supplier selection, materials development, factory NPI and HVM sustaining process and system. Ability to apply and improve the SQE system, aligning to the IATF and VDA expectation.
- Possesses wide knowledge of key defects, failure mechanisms, key FA techniques, and root cause hypotheses.
- Know the reliability stress purpose and usage model.
- Excellent leadership and inter-personal skills across functions and regions.

- Knowledge of ISO9001/IATF standard and trained auditor of VDA6.3/6.5 Experience internal and CM factory audits.
- Working knowledge of quality system requirements, especially for automotive OEM products.
Critical Skill Needed for Malaysia SQE Manager Position:
- Ability to communicate directly with Philippines and Taiwanese suppliers and customers. This includes reading, reviewing and responding to emails/reports.
- Work base in Penang, Malaysia with English and Chinese Mandarin speaking / writing are a MUST.
- Ability to provide training to local and global team on topic related to QMS and quality knowhow.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in factory quality system, complex quality issue management, supplier quality management and customer handling skill.
- Strong logical thinking to drive automotive risk based thinking approach risk assessment.
- Strategic & systemic thinking skill with ability to assist the Quality Department head in identify gaps, designing and developing the global quality organization.
