Spectra360, Inc. is a staffing organization comprised of two separate companies specializing in recruitment, evaluation, and placement of talent into transportation and manufacturing companies as well as the recruitment of technical positions. This position administers HR policies for our approximately 80 employees in the United States and the Philippines and consults on HR matters affecting our 400 temporary employees as well.



Headquartered in San Francisco, CA and with offices throughout California and Nevada, Spectra360 is frequently cited on lists of fastest growing staffing organizations in the United States. This position will work closely with and be part of Spectra’s senior management team and will report directly to the CEO.


Although further qualifications are detailed below, this individual must possess a detailed, in-depth knowledge and understanding of Title VII requirements as well as other federal labor laws and the labor laws of the State of California.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for evaluating employee programs and policies and making sure those programs align with corporate goals and established policies and regulations. Attracting the best possible talent and the control of employee turnover are top priorities.

Other duties include:

  • Ensure HR policies and processes flow from corporate strategy.
  • Consult, guide, and direct, sometimes on a priority or even an emergency basis, on problem issues confronted our field recruiters.
  • Establish and administer HR policies.
  • Create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees' job satisfaction.
  • Develop procedures and practices for hiring new employees and managing our staff.
  • Ensure success of newly hired employees by administering an orientation process for onboarding new hires and ensuring this proper training.
  • Communicate with employees about compensation, benefits and other facets of their employment.
  • Administer PTO policies based on employee need and company requirements.
  • Respond to questions or complaints from employees in a timely fashion.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 7+ years' experience in human resources department
  • 3+ years' experience in a HR leadership position
  • Strong understanding of the interviewing process, benefits administration, payroll and other HR functions
  • SPHR certification a plus
  • Bilingual English-Spanish a plus
  • Excellent communication, leadership and planning skills
