The Director of Production plays a critical role in leading and driving the Multimedia production activities of Cinereach. They are responsible for overseeing the development and execution, and path to distribution of innovative and impactful content across multiple platforms. As we strive to shift our focus towards bridging content with cultural impact, we are seeking a visionary individual who appreciates and values the inextricable relationship between high-quality creative content and cultural strategy. The Director of Production at Cinereach will report directly to the Chief Creative Officer; this is a remote-based position.

Responsibilities:

  •      Collaborate closely with the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) to define and lead a content strategy that integrates insights from the Cinereach Workshop, leveraging principles of systems thinking, narrative change, and audience trends.
  •          Lead and shepherd Cinereach Productions, driving the organization's vision and strategy through the development and execution, and a path to distribution of innovative multiplatform, alternative, and emergent content opportunities.
  •         Manage a successful post-production process and delivery of assets to distributors.
  •          Work in partnership with the Director of Community, Learning, and Design to utilize workshop findings to develop content according to Cinereach’s mission and goals.
  •          Establish metrics to measure and report on content return on investment (ROI) and impact, using the insights to inform iterative strategies.
  •          Cultivate and nurture external strategic partnerships and relationships across the content landscape, engaging with content creators, production companies, distributors, financiers, agents, managers, publicist, sales agents, and festival programmers as necessary.       
  •          Maintain the production budget, ensuring optimal allocation and conservation of resources.
  •          Act as an ambassador for Cinereach in external engagements, representing the organization and its values.
  •          Foster a collaborative working environment, promoting the intersectionality of knowledge and resources across different teams within the organization.
  •          Strategically build the external Production team of freelance consultants, assembling a talented and diverse group of professionals to support our objectives.
  •          Work closely with the CLO with regards to the deal terms, structure, review and negotiation of financing, development, production, distribution, collections account and strategic partnership / collaboration agreements. 

 

Requirements:

  •          Bachelor's degree, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  •      Demonstrate solid experience in developing successful content strategies that prioritize high cultural impact.
  •          Showcase at least 5 years of experience in leading high-impact teams, effectively driving collaboration and achieving results.
  •          Exhibit a track record of proven industry relationships and connections that can be leveraged to expedite and maximize opportunities.
