The National Sales Manager’s overall objective is to develop and implement the sales strategy for their Key Customers in alignment with Moleskine strategic objectives. The role requires close cross functional interaction with trade marketing, logistics and finance for efficient execution of programs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Establish the sales strategy for Key Accounts: implementation and development of Key Account growth strategy and recommend actions to meet goals
- Build long-term partnerships and maintain customer satisfaction & loyalty
- Analyze the market, its developments and foresee future trends
- Actively participate in distribution strategy
- Manage commercial strategy negotiations with customers
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and profitability, and overall improvement in the account management
- Responsible for forecast accuracy, and key account KPIs
What you bring:
- 3-4 years’ experience in related positions; buying experience a plus
- Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry/key accounts. Direct experience with Target, Staples, Office Depot, Amazon, or Costco is a strong plus.
- Experience working directly with buyers strongly preferred
- Experience managing brokers and distributors is a plus
- Experience with EDI/PO tracking and order management
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, PIVOT tables etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, and strong organization skills. Results-oriented, and a self-motivator
- Great interpersonal skills with a focus on customers, and capable of building strong working relationships and influencing internal & external teams
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues, with an analytical mindset
- Great interpersonal skills, with enthusiasm and passion for Moleskine products
- Ability to act independently, respecting company policies, guidelines, and strategies
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
