We’re looking for one or two Retail Sales Associates to help support the team at a special holiday activation at Barnes & Noble on 5th Avenue who share this passion for creativity and human connection. In this role, you’ll help bring the Moleskine vision to life by delivering exceptional service, building relationships, and representing the Moleskine brand.
What You’ll Do
- Inspire Expression – Share the story of Moleskine and guide customers toward tools and customizations that help them express their ideas, creativity, and imagination.
- Build Community – Achieve sales goals by creating genuine connections, fostering loyalty, and turning every customer into a storyteller.
- Create Experiences – Deliver a warm, engaging environment that reflects Moleskine’s belief in creativity and cultural exchange.
- Keep It Beautiful – Uphold Moleskine’s visual identity through thoughtful merchandising, organization, cart presentation, and customization.
- Collaborate & Share – Support a culture of creativity and storytelling.
- Stay Hands-On – Operate POS systems, manage stock, and ensure inventory flows seamlessly to support the customer journey.
Who You Are

- Comfortable with technology, including POS and inventory systems.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and energized by teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of retail or customer-facing experience.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and drive sales.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work from 11 am until 7 pm on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for the holiday season
- Confidence in performing keyholder duties (opening/closing, cash handling, operational oversight).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Previous experience using Cegid.
- Previous keyholder, shift-lead, or supervisory experience.
- Strong visual merchandising and product storytelling skills.
