The Role
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Account Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue, strengthening key relationships, and positioning Moleskine as a premium brand across both Wholesale and Corporate (B2B) channels.
Depending on your background, the role will emphasize one area more strongly:
- If you bring wholesale experience, your focus will lean toward managing and growing major retail accounts.
- If you bring B2B/partnerships experience, your focus will lean toward cultivating corporate clients and creative collaborations.
- Over time, you will have the opportunity to build skills across both areas, supporting Moleskine’s growth in multi-channel sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Wholesale Account Management
- Lead and grow partnerships with wholesale accounts.
- Manage joint business planning, seasonal sell-in, promotional programs, and account performance reviews.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure operational excellence in forecasting, replenishment, compliance, and distribution.
- Identify growth opportunities within wholesale channels, driving both sell-in and sell-through.
- Strategic Partnerships (B2B)
- Develop new and existing relationships with corporate clients in education, arts, culture, entertainment, and other industries.
- Curate co-branded initiatives, exclusive product collaborations, and corporate gifting solutions that elevate both revenue and brand equity.
- Manage the full business development cycle, from prospecting and presentations to negotiation and long-term account growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to deliver initiatives across Wholesale or B2B channels.
- Align with global HQ in Italy on strategy, campaigns, reporting, and system integration (Salesforce, SAP, ERP).
- Represent Moleskine at trade shows, industry events, and customer-facing opportunities to strengthen brand presence and relationships.
- Data, Insights & Systems
- Use Salesforce and SAP to track sales performance, forecast trends, and provide business insights.
- Generate reporting to guide decision-making and highlight new growth opportunities.
- Share system best practices and support adoption within the U.S. team.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in Wholesale, Strategic Partnerships, or Key Account Management with major retail accounts and/or corporate clients.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong ability to build and manage senior-level relationships with both retailers and corporate partners.
- Experience in joint business planning, category management, and complex negotiations.
- Self-management, with the ability to proactively make key business decisions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A passion for creativity, cultural relevance, and building meaningful brand connections.
