Job Summary 


Atlas Lens Co. is currently looking for an Assistant Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineer to help ensure the highest level of quality, accuracy and success in our prototyping and manufacturing bring-up process. A successful candidate will be able to work independently, have a high degree of organization, show great attention to detail and take initiative. Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager and Product Manager in organizing and maintaining Product Life Cycle Management data and in tracking progress and next steps. 

  • Assist in following a product concept from idea to final execution evaluating deficiencies and areas of improvement.

  • Ensure that the Information System implemented is adequate to provide assurance of development activities being performed properly and recommend fixes when it is not.

  • Aid in organizing and communicating supply chain requirements for productization with Product Management, Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering departments at Atlas and Vendors.

  • Assist in ensuring systems for communication and feedback are developed, understood, and adhered to.

  • Assist in ensuring technical operations are being performed per required specifications, or when necessary assist in communicating necessary changes to SOP along with elucidating the purpose of changes.

  • Work to continually improve processes with existing vendors to ensure no production issues are left unresolved.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time-to-time.


Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Ability to read engineering drawings.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Proficiency in other languages is preferred.

  • Some interest in cinematography, photography, optics and the motion picture industry is a plus.
