We are looking for a full time Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Burbank, CA to help with design, analysis, optimization, testing, prototyping and manufacturing. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Create and review 2-D drawings to document assembly and component design

  • Reviews possible layouts/orientations to optimize design elements

  • Hands-on developing, building, assembling and testing hardware

  • Suggest methods to improve operational efficiency

  • Work closely with production technicians to improve end assembly/usage of products

  • Operate and maintain 3D printing and manufacturing equipment

  • Collaborate with all teams within the company to develop, refine, and innovate motion picture products


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Strong aptitude for learning new softwares and programs to enhance design processes

  • Ability to read and understand designs and schematics

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, organize, be proactive and prioritize work

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team

  • Experience with Solidworks or Fusion 360

  • Experience with rapid prototyping

  • Experience in manufacturing environments


Bonus Experience

  • Passion for cinema a plus

  • Experience with software suites Airtable, Slack, and G Drive.
