Founded in 2016 by designer Forrest Schultz and cinematographer Dan Kanes, Atlas Lens Co. designs and manufactures affordable, high-performance lenses that deliver coveted vintage aesthetics with modern conveniences.

Job Summary
Atlas Lens Co is a tight knit team. We are seeking a lens technician who brings a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast paced work environment. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work, someone who will be able to learn quickly, take initiative, and creatively problem-solve. Responsibilities
Assembling production and prototype cinema lenses
Performing quality control checks on lenses and components
Repairing and cleaning service lenses
Documenting quality control results and repair procedures
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively about complex technical matters
Manual dexterity - applicants who do not have direct lens technician experience should explain how their experience translates to detailed mechanical work
Good eyesight is required for some aspects of analyzing lens performance - magnification systems provided as necessary
Top notch organizational skills
Ability to learn new computer and analytical systems quickly - we need team members who can adapt as we grow and change
Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and interact with coworkers respectfully
Nice to Haves
Experience with software suites Airtable, Slack, Zoho one, and G Drive.
Lens Technician experience including assembling, servicing, and repairing professional cinema lenses.
Working Environment
Sitting, standing and walking in an office, test environment, and clean room production space.
Working with gloves and a mask
Handling chemicals such as acetone, rubbing alcohol and windex
