About Graphic Designer

The ideal candidate will be prepared to join an innovative and growing team in the retail energy industry.  This person will be excited to work across numerous digital properties and social media channels, developing impactful content and rapidly iterating in a “test-and-learn” manner to improve creative performance against business goals.  In this role, the candidate will be a key steward and developer of the Rhythm visual identity  and have the opportunity to assist with new product and customer experience design.  While this candidate will primarily focus on creative design and communication, they will be prepared to pitch in whenever and wherever to make the team successful.

 

Responsibilities

·       Create and maintain regular content calendar for all owned properties and social media platforms

·       Design and create impactful visual communications that distill key messages, emotions, and insights into easily understood content

·       Routinely post impactful creative, including graphics, infographics, surveys, images, videos and other materials, relevant to target audiences

·       Perform graphic design, photo and video editing for use primarily in digital ads and other marketing collateral

·       Ensure consistency of branding and visual identity across all owned properties, particularly website, social media and digital product

·       Design digital product and user experience to be easy to use across device types

·       Assist in the analysis of user tests of the digital product and develop new designs as part of a “test and learn” approach to product development

·       Assist in the analysis of creative performance marketing campaigns and the “test-and-learn” approach to performance improvement

·       Perform social media monitoring and active social media listening to stay on top of trends and determine best approaches for Rhythm to communicate

                                      

Qualifications

·       Willingness to learn, be a self-starter, with a “get-it-done” attitude

·       Proven track record of developing impactful design work

·       Successful experience in both creative and brand work from strategy through delivery

·       Creative problem solver, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, overcome obstacles

·       Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, CMS as well as social media platforms, analytics software and scheduling software

·       Digital marketing experience (Facebook, Instagram, Email, etc.), a plus

·       Digital product UX/UI design experience, a plus

·       Photography and Videography experience, a plus

·       Passion for renewable energy, conservation, and sustainability

 

Geography

·       Rhythm is headquartered in Houston, Texas with plans for a New York City area office in 2021

·       Preference will be given to candidates in Houston or NYC area

·       Non-Houston candidates will be expected to travel ~25% of the time in their first year
